This storefront is currently a demonstration. Before accepting real orders, the operator must add its legal entity name, physical and return addresses, final vendors, jurisdiction-specific terms and working privacy-request channels, then have these policies reviewed by qualified U.S. counsel.
1. Scope and current storefront status
This policy applies to Homestead Haven’s website, product pages, cart, checkout demonstration, newsletter form and related communications. “Homestead Haven,” “we,” “us” and “our” refer to the operator of this storefront. The operator’s final legal name and address have not yet been configured because the site remains a demonstration.
The current checkout is a non-transactional demo. It does not charge a payment card or create a real order. Privacy practices must be reviewed and updated before payment, fulfillment, analytics, advertising, customer-support or email vendors are connected.
2. Information handled by the current demo
Information you enter
- Contact and delivery information entered in the demonstration checkout, such as name, email, phone, street address, city, state and ZIP code.
- An email address entered in the newsletter demonstration.
- Information you send directly by email or through a future support channel.
Cart and device information
- Product identifiers and quantities stored in your browser so the cart can persist between page visits.
- Basic request, device, network, security and diagnostic data that may be processed by the hosting platform, such as IP address, browser type, timestamps and error information.
Payment information
The current demo does not collect or store a full card number or security code. If live payments are enabled, payment details should be entered into provider-hosted fields and processed under that provider’s privacy terms.
3. Why information may be used
Information may be used to keep a cart working, display the checkout demonstration, respond to requests, prevent abuse, secure and troubleshoot the site, comply with law, maintain business records and—only after production systems are configured—process orders, payments, deliveries, returns and requested marketing communications.
We should not use personal information for a materially different purpose without updating this notice and, where required, obtaining consent.
4. When information may be disclosed
Information may be disclosed to service providers that operate the site or, after launch, provide payment, fraud prevention, delivery, email, analytics, customer-support or professional services. It may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or complete a financing, merger, sale or other business transaction.
The current demo contains no advertising pixel or cross-site analytics integration. It is not configured to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. These statements must be reassessed before any marketing technology is added.
5. Retention and security
Browser cart data remains on the device until it is cleared, removed by the shopper or overwritten. Live production records should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including fulfillment, returns, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, legal claims and regulatory obligations, then securely deleted or de-identified.
Reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards should be used in proportion to the information handled. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, and this policy does not make an absolute security promise.
6. Your privacy choices and requests
Depending on where you live and which laws apply to the operator, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of personal information; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising or profiling; to limit certain uses of sensitive information; and to appeal a denied request. You may also withdraw marketing consent or unsubscribe from marketing email.
Requests should be sent to the monitored privacy contact listed below once that channel is configured. We may need to verify identity and authority before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
7. California notice at collection
In the current demonstration, the categories of information that may be handled are identifiers and contact details, commercial information represented by cart contents, internet or device activity, approximate location inferred from IP address, and communications you choose to send. The purposes are described in Section 3, and retention is based on the criteria in Section 5.
If the operator becomes subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, the production policy and collection notices must identify the categories collected, disclosed, sold or shared during the preceding 12 months; provide working methods for requests; honor applicable browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control; and provide any required “Do Not Sell or Share” or sensitive-information choices.
8. Children’s privacy
The storefront is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so the operator can investigate and take appropriate action.
9. Third-party services and links
Links may lead to services we do not control. A live payment, shipping, review or email provider may have its own privacy notice. Review those notices before providing information directly to a third party.
10. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy as the storefront, vendors or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date will identify the latest version. Material changes should be presented through a reasonably prominent notice when required.
